Ken founded Pierce The Fog to cut through the complexities of business jargon and overworked mathematical formulas in order to help finance professionals and others who may be struggling find actionable information to run their business and kick ass in their career.
Currently, Ken does outsourced CFO Consulting, financial analysis and other business and management consulting projects among other entrepreneurial and investment endeavors.
Ken brings 20 years of experience in various positions in industry and consulting where he has led critical accounting, forensic, business planning, forecasting, analytic and strategy initiatives. Most recently, Ken was the CFO of a high growth digital marketing agency with a compounded annual growth rate of over 150%, where he was responsible for accounting, tax, strategic planning, decision support services and strategic analysis. Prior to that Ken has held positions ranging from financial analyst to Managing Director and CFO since leaving FTI Consulting.
After receiving his MBA at the College of William and Mary, Mr. Fick joined FTI Consulting holding various positions of progressively higher responsibility. His work at FTI included forensic analysis and corporate governance compliance projects, SEC investigations and multiple technical accounting support and review roles. He specialized in complex security analysis and valuation related to litigation and corporate restructuring.
Prior to joining receiving his MBA and joining FTI, Mr. Fick was a corporate financial planning analyst at a large financial services company, strategic planning analyst, account management supervisor and auditor for a Fortune 500 retailer.
